V60 Function 1: Conform
The characteristic cone shape of the V60 allows the layers of coffee beans to be thicker compared to a traditional trapezoid-shaped dripper. The cone shape allows the hot water to flow toward the center, allowing for longer contact with the coffee beans and ensuring the correct extraction of flavor and aromas from the coffee beans.

When the coffee is saturated, the high ribs do not prevent its expansion, and an air layer is created between the filter and the dripper wall. The spiral ribs prevent the filter and dripper from sticking, allowing air to flow through and allowing the coffee to expand adequately for a smooth extraction.

The V60 has a large opening at the bottom, unlike several smaller ones like in traditional droppers. This allows the tip of the filter to penetrate the hole, which in turn allows the hot water to perform the extraction closer to a cloth filter process, as it is not restricted by the dropper.
