Hario V60 for manual brewing

Japanese glass tradition for those who want to brew at home with feeling and precision.

Over 100 years of Hario

Hario was founded in Tokyo in 1921 and began with laboratory glassware before the company entered the home in 1948 with its first coffee siphon. To this day, Hario is the only manufacturer of heat-resistant glass in Japan with its own factory, and the brand's name comes from the Japanese words for glass and king – a clear expression of the company's ambition and specialisation.

In this series, that heritage meets a simple brewing routine for the home. The range revolves around the same design language and material feel, but with clear choices depending on how you brew: a smaller or larger brewer Size, the right filter for the right format, and an insulated server for those who want to brew and serve without the coffee losing heat immediately. This makes it easy to build a setup that suits both a single cup in the morning and several cups for breakfast or coffee breaks.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to help you choose the right size and accessories.

Should I choose 01 or 02?

Choose 01 if you mainly brew 1–2 cups at a time and want a more Compact format. Choose 02 if you more often brew larger quantities, up to 4 cups, or want more flexibility even when brewing smaller batches. The difference is mainly about capacity and how you use the brewer in everyday life.

Which filter paper fits?

Size 02 filter paper fits Size 02 brewers. If you use the larger brewer, it is therefore natural to choose Size 02 filters. Always check the size marking to ensure that the brewer and filter match.

Do I also need a serving carafe?

No, not necessarily. If you usually brew directly into a cup, the brewer is more than sufficient. An insulated carafe is practical, however, when brewing several cups in succession, serving at the table, or wanting the coffee to stay warmer after brewing.
