Hario was founded in Tokyo in 1921 and began with laboratory glassware before the company entered the home in 1948 with its first coffee siphon. Should I choose 01 or 02?
Choose 01 if you mainly brew 1–2 cups at a time and want a more Compact format. Choose 02 if you more often brew larger quantities, up to 4 cups, or want more room even when brewing smaller batches. The difference is mainly about capacity and how you use the brewer in everyday life.
Which filter paper fits?
Size 02 filter paper fits Size 02 brewers. If you use the larger brewer, it is therefore natural to choose Size 02 filters. Always check the size marking so that the brewer and filters match.
Do I need a server as well?
No, not necessarily. If you usually brew directly into a cup, the brewer is more than sufficient. An insulated server is practical, however, when you brew several cups in succession, want to serve at the table, or want the coffee to stay warmer after brewing.
