5 IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
In order for you to know which espresso machine is best for you, you will need to think about 5 important questions.
CHOICE OF ESPRESSO MACHINE TYPE
The espresso machines can be divided into 2 different variants: Double boilers or heat exchangers. Take a look at the tabs below to read more About them.
START WITH UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCES
We have made a short summary of the different types of espresso machines available with us and understand which one suits you best!v
About HEAT EXCHANGER
Heat exchanger has a large boiler for both milk frothing and brewing. The upper part of the boiler is used for steam and the lower part for brewing. The advantage of the heat exchanger is that it is strong and capable of brewing several coffee drinks one after the other and is suitable for those who like to drink lattes and cappuccinos.
ESPRESSO MACHINE WITH DOUBLE BOILER
The advantage of double boilers is that you have better control over your brewing temperature thanks to the fact that you can change the temperature of each boiler separately. It gives you a good chance of getting better espresso shots compared to a heat exchanger. Just like a heat exchanger, you can both froth and brew at the same time.

CHOICE OF THE COFFEE GRINDER
Choice of coffee grinder is more important than the espresso machine. In the end, it is the quality of the coffee and how evenly the coffee is ground to be able to get the best and most even brewing possible. Therefore, choosing a coffee grinder is one of the most essential and important aspects when it comes to starting brewing espresso home. Read our complete buying guide!
FLOW-CONTROL
The longer you've been brewing espresso, you've probably come across the English term "Flow-control" or "Pressure profiling". This is the opportunity to influence the flow and pressure profile during your espresso brewing. The reason why you want to be able to influence this is to bring out unique flavors that you wouldn't get otherwise. When you have control over these two parameters, you can adapt your pressure profile to suit a specific rust profile such as dark rust, medium rust or light rust. Some espresso machines allow you to manually create different pressure profiles and the option to save them. Rocket have espresso machines where there are already ready-made pressure profiles that are adapted to certain rust profiles.
