German craftsmanship, three versions

Wiedemann handcrafts its wooden products in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany, in its workshop near Lake Constance. Each handle is individually turned and sanded, then hand-treated with organic hardwax oil. The treatment saturates the wood without leaving a plastic-like layer on the surface. The wood comes from sustainable forestry, and Wiedemann provides a three-year warranty on the wooden part.

Choose the version to suit your brewing

All three are 58 mm with the same wood handle and the same stainless steel head. The only difference is the outlet.

Bottomless

Open bottom without a spout: you can see the entire extraction from below and spot channeling immediately. The only bottomless model in the range, and the one used to fine-tune grind and distribution.

Single-spout

A single outlet in one spout, for one cup at a time and a straight flow into the cup without splitting the shot.

Two spouts that split the shot into two cups simultaneously, the classic choice when you often brew two drinks at once.

The wood types in the range

Each handle gets its colour from the wood type, not from staining. The grain and shade therefore vary from one example to another. All wood types are available for the bottomless, single-spout and double-spout versions.

Olive

Light, golden base tone with strong, dark grain. The most lively wood type in the range and the one that stands out most clearly against a polished machine.

Deep, warm brown with an even, calm pattern. A dark and understated option that suits black and anthracite-coloured machines.

Oak and smoked dark oak

Classic oak in a light, cool tone, or smoked dark oak with the same distinct oak grain in a significantly darker shade.

Fits E61 group head

All models are 58 mm and made for espresso machines with an E61 group head, covering most Italian home and semi-professional machines. The locking lugs and basket dimensions follow the standard, so the filter baskets and tampers you already own will work as usual. The Elegant version comes with an original ECM head.

Wood versus stainless steel

The handle is made from solid wood sourced from sustainable forestry and hand-treated with organic hardwax oil that highlights the grain and makes the surface resistant to moisture and heat. The head is made of stainless steel, providing the weight and thermal stability required for even extraction. The combination also keeps the handle cool to hold while the steel maintains the temperature.
