Wiedemann Manufaktur, wooden tamper for espresso

Precision tools for home baristas who want control over every shot.

Espresso tamper with Wiedemann’s feel for wood

Wiedemann Manufaktur works with wood and metal for everything related to the espresso machine: tampers, puck tools, storage and grinder details. Several of the tools are handmade by Lake Constance in southern Germany, using wood from sustainably managed forests.

The range follows the workflow at the machine, from dosing and distribution to tamping, cleaning and storage. There are also parts to complement your setup: The short Tamper station is the compact tamper station for those short on counter space. The La Marzocco X-Filter precision basket 58 mm is available in 7, 14, 17 and 21 g. The 58 mm stainless steel portafilter head is available with a 360° single spout, a 360° double spout or as a bottomless model. Wooden handles for knock boxes give the drawer under your machine or grinder a solid wood handle, available for ECM M, ECM Heritage, Joe Frex dxS, Joe Frex dxSS and Joe Frex dxSlim.

Two tampers, two ways to work

Wiedemann Manufaktur tampers with wooden handles, made for more even extraction and less channeling. Both are available in 58 mm. They differ in their mechanism and the diameters you can choose.

Wiedecent spring tamper

Spring · 15 lbs · 58 mm · stainless steel

A calibrated spring delivers the same tamping pressure, 15 lbs, every time, while a moving leveling plate keeps the tamp straight. The base is turned from stainless steel on a computer-controlled lathe with a precision of 0.05 mm. Developed in collaboration with Decent Espresso, it fits all standard 58 mm portafilters and is easy to disassemble for cleaning. The handle is available in Olive, Walnut, Oak and Black Oak.

58 mm · adjustment screw · non-slip feet

Wood and stainless steel Tamper station for 58 mm Portafilters. It does not fit 54 mm Portafilters, such as some models from Sage.
