Lever-operated espresso machine for home use with complete control over every shot
Quick Mill Rapida is built for those who want to control their espresso by hand, not with a button. The classic lever technology lets you determine pressure and pace yourself, shot by shot, while digital PID control keeps the water temperature exactly where you want it. It is an espresso machine for home use that provides the same direct connection between hand and cup found in traditional Italian bars. We see it as a natural next step for those who already know their espresso, or for anyone who wants to learn the craft properly, and it belongs among our premium espresso machines for the home kitchen.
Key features
- ✓ Precision lever brewing. The powerful lever-operated brew group lets you control the speed and intensity of extraction entirely manually.
- ✓ PID-controlled temperature. The display shows temperature, shot timer and water level in real time, so you can fine-tune your brewing according to the beans' roast rather than brewing by feel.
- ✓ Quieter vibration pump. The pump is designed for approximately 30 percent lower noise levels, making it comfortable in a kitchen where the machine should not drown out the morning's conversation.
- ✓ Steam wand in every direction. Multidirectional, burn-protected steam and hot-water wands, along with a joystick for steam and water, make milk frothing smooth and safe.
- ✓ Built-in safety. A vacuum valve, safety valve and resettable thermostat continuously monitor pressure, while the standby function saves energy between brews. If you are unsure which type of machine suits you, we have collected our advice in a guide to how to choose an espresso machine for home use.

About the manufacturer
Quick Mill has manufactured espresso machines in Italy since 1945, when Carlo Ernesto Valente founded the workshop with a focus on lever-operated machines—the same technology that Rapida continues today. In the 1960s, the company was among the first to develop pump-operated machines, an innovation that changed how espresso was extracted and still shapes the industry today.
During the 1980s, the company turned its focus to the home market, and in the 2000s digital control was integrated into the product range. Through all these changes, manufacturing has remained the same: copper, brass and stainless steel are still worked by hand at the factory in Senago outside Milan, with durability and craftsmanship taking priority over short-lived trends. That blend of old-school methods and new technology runs through our entire range of Quickmill machines.
Rapida is not the machine for anyone who wants the fastest possible coffee. At 30 kilos, with a lever that requires clear space above the counter and a technique that takes time to master, it is a tool built for decades of daily brewing, not for seasons. If you want to buy an espresso machine that reflects your own hand in the cup, this is our choice.
Frequently asked questions

The machine has a 1.8-liter insulated copper heat exchanger Boiler with digital PID temperature control, so you can brew espresso and steam milk without waiting for the temperature to change.
▾How much space does Quick Mill Rapida need in the kitchen?
The machine measures 320 x 480 x 750 mm (W x D x H) and weighs 30 kg. The height includes the lever, so make sure there is sufficient free space above the counter.
