The story behind Björklunds Svartån EKO – Dark Roast

Svartån is our most powerful blend – inspired by the river of the same name that flows through Västerås. Just like the water that cuts through the city, this coffee is dark, deep and vibrant.

Roasted with care by Björklunds Kafferosteri, Svartån is an organic dark roast designed for those looking for a cup with both pressure and balance. Honduran beans provide bitterness and spiciness, while fruity beans from Central and South America round out with berry notes and complexity.

Coffee's process

1. Origin

Svartån consists of 100% organic Arabica from Latin America, where growers at high altitudes work with traditional and sustainable methods to produce flavorful, high-quality coffee.

2. Sustainability

The beans are certified organic according to SE-EKO-04, grown without chemical pesticides and with respect for nature. A choice with both taste and conscience.

3. Roasting

Dark roasted to give a deeper, richer expression. The roast profile highlights notes of dark chocolate, rust and red berries, with a strong but balanced finish.
