What really sets the Pro 400 apart from other espresso machines with heat exchangers are its smart and unique features. Under the machine, there is a switch where you can choose to brew with or without pre-infusion – something that is unique to this model.
What is pre-infusion?
It means that the coffee puck is first saturated with low pressure before brewing starts in earnest at 9 bars of pressure. The result? A more even extraction and improved flavor profile.
On the underside, you will also find a switch to activate or deactivate ECO mode, which saves energy when the machine is not in use.
The design is thoughtful and compact, and you can also customize the appearance by changing the color of the knobs for steam and hot water – three color combinations are included.
