Radical Espresso is a powerful blend produced by Gringo Nordic – a small, curious coffee roastery in the heart of Gothenburg. With an uncompromising approach to quality, Gringo works closely with its producers to ensure both good taste and good conditions.

This espresso consists of organic specialty coffees from three continents. The base comes from Brazil and Indonesia, where full and rich notes dominate. To this we have added beans from Ethiopia – from Worka Coop and Guji Suke Quto – which give the espresso its subtle fruitiness and complexity.

We roast Radical using our slow roast method, in small batches and with airflow technology – an energy-efficient process that highlights the coffee's bittersweet, spicy and full-bodied character. The result is a espresso with pomp, produced with respect for both the taste and the people behind the beans.

Gringo Nordic buys 100% specialty coffee from individual farms, cooperatives and plantations – often certified organic, always with care. Our goal is simple: Good Honest Coffee.

To highlight the bold and full-bodied character of Radical Espresso We have chosen a dark roast that harmoniously balances the flavors of the different origins. The beans are gently roasted in small batches using slow roasting technology, which gives us full control over the development of the flavor profile. The longer roasting time reduces acidity and instead highlights the coffee's bittersweet tones, rich body and spicy finish.

The base of the blend comes from Sumatra Gayo, where the coffee traditionally undergoes the unique wet hulled process (Giling Basah) – a method that contributes to the full, earthy and spicy character. The Brazilian beans from Nossa Senhora de Fatima are often naturally dried, which gives a sweet and round flavor profile. From Ethiopia, where the coffee is often hand-picked and dried on raised beds, we get a washed process from Worka Coop and a semi-washed from Guji Suke Quto – these contribute elegant hints of fruit and flowers.

Each batch is carefully roasted in our energy-efficient air-flow roaster – a sustainable choice that also delivers maximum flavour development. That’s how we create a espresso with depth, character and respect for the craft.
