The story behind Coffee Hammarby – Espresso

Hammarby is our tribute to a unique heritage. In the 1950s, hundreds of Italian immigrants settled in the Västerås district of Hammarby, and with them came a culture of espresso, community and passion for taste. This coffee carries on the tradition – in a modern, organic interpretation.

Roasted by Björklunds Kafferosteri in Sweden, Hammarby is a espresso where Brazilian beans provide fullness and spiciness, while Nicaraguan high-altitude beans provide a smooth sweetness and balance. The result is an espresso blend with both power and finesse – a Northern Italian interpretation with Swedish precision.

Coffee's process

1. Origin

Hammarby is made from 100% organic Arabica from Brazil and Nicaragua. The combination provides depth, nuttiness and round fruitiness – in a carefully crafted balance.

2. Sustainability

All beans are certified organic, grown with respect for both the soil and people. Quality and long-term sustainability are the foundation of every step.

3. Roasting

Roasted like an espresso roast, developed to give full expression in an espresso machine, moka pot or fully automatic. A roast profile that highlights depth of flavor without losing elegance.
