About the manufacturer

Quick Mill S.r.l. is behind Quick Mill, an Italian company based in Senago (MI), Italy. The brand is known for hand-built production in Italy, technical innovation, and precision equipment for coffee lovers who want more control. This is clearly visible in Rubino+: the machine has a classic design in polished stainless steel, but beneath the surface are features usually appreciated by those who have already started refining their espresso at home. Our honest assessment is that this model is best suited for those who want to actively work with grind size, dosing, and milk frothing, rather than those seeking a fully automatic solution.

If you want to invest in a premium-class espresso machine that performs at a high level every day, Quick Mill Rubino+ is a thoughtful choice for serious home coffee.

Compare espresso machines

All four machines are aimed at experienced home users but differ in heating systems, warm-up time, and user controls. Quick Mill Rubino+ and Profitec Pro 400 have a heat exchanger and E61 brew head, providing stable temperature for brewing and the ability to steam milk simultaneously without extra waiting; Pro 400 also has three temperature steps on the PID for more precise control. Quick Mill Luna uses dual Thermoblocks and heats up much faster, with backlit buttons and Scheduling for those who want quicker availability and more automation. Rocket Appartamento is slightly larger, uses a pressure switch (a simpler temperature control), and offers manual pre-infusion if you prefer a more hands-on control.

Choose Quick Mill Rubino+ or Profitec Pro 400 Rocket Appartamento if you prioritize classic professional feel with E61 and stable temperature for milk frothing during longer sessions. Choose Quick Mill Luna if fast startup, programmability, and compact flexibility are most important. Choose Rocket Appartamento Profitec Pro 400

It would be hard to find a better shop in which to buy your espresso machine.

First of all, and to keep it brief – as I’ve only been enjoying my machine for a short while – I see the Quick Mill Rubino+ as a game-changer compared to what I had before, a Sage Barista Express. I’m aware that there are better – and more expensive – machines on the market, but I’m absolutely convinced that mine is going to give me a great deal of satisfaction. Right from the start, the build quality and the machine’s initial response make it clear that it’s a little Italian masterpiece.

Secondly, and what I consider to be the most noteworthy and important aspect, was the service I received from the team at Barista - Espresso, and more specifically from Udo. I have to say that before deciding to buy my espresso machine from this shop, I spent many hours searching all over Europe and came across shops I could trust based on the information I received, and others I didn’t trust quite so much, which tried to steer me towards buying whatever they wanted to sell.

That said, and although there was a Quick Mill distributor in my country, the price made me opt for Barista Espresso, though I still had my doubts as the shop was a long way from my town and the cost was quite high.

Once the purchase was made, my doubts vanished completely from the very start. Udo kept me updated on the delivery process at all times, instilling just the right amount of confidence to keep me calm and reassured. This continued throughout the weeks whilst they waited for the machine and its subsequent delivery from Sweden to my home.

But the best was yet to come. Whilst it’s usually the case that a shop considers the sale closed once the customer has received the product, shortly after I received the machine, Udo got in touch with me again to give me the most interesting and practical advice possible for getting started with it. Quite simply, when I received that email, I realised that there are still businesses and people who go beyond a mere buy-and-sell transaction – people who still make you feel that you’re important to their business and who, whilst clearly understanding that looking after the customer helps their business, realise that going the extra mile doesn’t cost that much. The fact is, Udo didn’t just give me a ‘little’ extra. In that message, he gave me much more than just advice; he made me feel that, as I faced the learning process ahead, I could rely on a knowledgeable point of contact whom I could trust – someone who was helping me rather than trying to sell me anything. In short, he provided the human touch that is so often missing when shopping online.

And to add one more thing, I’d like to mention that Udo has continued to look after me for over three weeks after I received the machine, sending me explanations and recommendations as they came in regarding my machine.

In case he doesn’t realise just how grateful I am for his help and such personalised attention, I wanted to highlight this in this review. It’s quite unusual these days, and the greatest shame of all is that he’s so far from my home, because I’d love to be able to enjoy his products more easily.

Thank you very much, Udo. Thank you very much, Barista Espresso.
