Coffee filters for a cleaner pour over

CHEMEX Coffee Filter Circles 100-pack is a premium choice for those who want a clearer and more nuanced cup with coffee filters developed for pour over filter paper. The thick bonded paper captures bitterness, sediment, and excess oils, allowing the coffee’s origin and balance to shine through more clearly. The round shape fits neatly in the brewer and provides a clean look, both visually and in the cup. We think this is a particularly good choice for those brewing in larger CHEMEX models who want even extraction every time.

Main features

  • ✓ Thicker filter paper than many standard filters for a cleaner, smoother cup
  • ✓ Round, cone-shaped design that fits neatly in the brewer and promotes even extraction
  • ✓ 100 filters per package for many brews at home or in a café setting
  • ✓ Compostable virgin pine pulp paper, oxygen-bleached in a bleach-free process
  • ✓ Fits most cone-shaped drip brewers and almost all CHEMEX coffee brewers

Care instructions

Open the filter into a cone so that three layers are on one side, and place that side against the spout of the carafe for better stability and to reduce the risk of vacuum sealing during brewing. After brewing, simply lift out the filter and discard it. Since the filter is compostable, it can also be added to the compost. This is a single-use filter, not a reusable coffee filter pack option.

Why choose round Chemex filters?

We recommend the round filters to those who want the same high filtration level as CHEMEX square models, but with a cleaner look in the brewer. They don’t stick up as much over the edge and give a more minimalist impression. The result in the cup is what matters: softer texture, less bitterness, and a more refined brewed coffee.

Round vs square Chemex filters

The difference between round and square CHEMEX filters is practically small when it comes to flavor profile and filtration. Round filters sit neater and more discreetly in the brewer, while square filters have protruding corners that can be easier to grip when handling them before and after brewing. Both come with 100 filters per pack. Our honest note is that the choice mainly comes down to preference in handling and aesthetics, not that one shape always brews better than the other.

About the manufacturer

CHEMEX is one of the most well-known names in the coffee world and is appreciated for its iconic brewers and specially developed filters. The company states it has been family-owned for over 45 years, with production and assembly in Massachusetts. Their philosophy is based on material choices and design that support a clean, flavor-clear extraction — something clearly noticeable in this filter paper for pour over.

For those who want to get maximum clarity, balance, and precision in their pour over, this is a safe choice from CHEMEX. Add a 100-pack to your brewing routine and brew with the same feel as in a well-equipped coffee corner.
