How to look after your Atom W 75
A grind-by-weight grinder, such as the Eureka Mignon Libra, Atom W or Baratza Sette 270Wi and Forte, needs the same cleaning as other grinders, plus a clean fork and a scale that is calibrated when the weight drifts. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the Eureka Atom W 75
Hold down the calibration button for 3 seconds, place the portafilter in the fork and press tare. Add the test weight and press the calibration button again to finish.
Turn the dial clockwise for a finer grind and anticlockwise for a coarser grind, in small steps and with a little ground coffee between adjustments. Eureka warns that the grinder can jam if the dial is turned with the motor stopped.
Eureka states that the burrs should be checked and replaced if necessary after 500 kg of coffee. Wash the bean hopper at least once a week.

- Brush coffee off the fork and the scale

- Replace the burrs according to the manufacturer's kg figure
- Calibrate the zero point after replacement
- Run in new burrs with cheaper beans
