How to look after your MHG
A commercial grinder, such as the Macap M7D, Eureka Helios or BUNN MHG, grinds many kilos a week and needs a daily routine, the dose checked every morning and new burrs according to kg. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the BUNN MHG
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise until you hear a metallic squeak and back off until the sound stops. From that zero position, turn anticlockwise to the grind you want.
BUNN recommends replacing the dechaffer unit and cleaning the grinding chamber with a dry brush every six months. Unplug the grinder before removing any panels.
Once a year the burrs should be inspected and replaced if necessary, and the grind and grind time set to specification.
