About us

Swerl Coffee Roasters is a Swedish microroastery based in Falkenberg, founded by Beatriz and Daniel. We focus on roasting traceable and sustainable specialty coffee with clear, balanced flavors. All coffee is selected in close dialogue with producers and roasted with great care to highlight the unique character of the raw material – regardless of About It's a fruity single origin or a smooth, well-balanced blend.

Our story

Swerl was born from a shared dream during Beatrix and Daniel's time in New Zealand, where they were both inspired by a vibrant and inclusive coffee culture. Back in Sweden, they started small – first in a coffee cart, then in a classic 1970s Mercedes bus. This traveling roaster inspired both the name and the philosophy behind Swerl: movement, curiosity, and closeness to people.

With Beatrix's experience as a sommelier and Daniel's technical attention to detail, the roastery quickly took shape. The vision was clear: to roast coffee with heart and precision, and to create something of their own – for real.

Today, Swerl is an established roastery with a clear voice in Swedish specialty coffee. In 2023, it gained international recognition when it was named one of the world's 100 best roasteries by Roastful – a milestone that confirms it is possible to make a difference with small means, as long as the will is genuine.
