With citric acid, heat 500 mL of water with 2 tablespoons of citric acid, bring to a boil, let the mixture sit for at least 30 minutes, and then rinse well. Scale deposits are normal over time, especially with hard water. Avoid steel wool and abrasive brushes on the inside; instead, use a sponge or soft brush to preserve the surface.
