For those who appreciate the charm of a classic lever-operated espresso machine, the Pro 800 is perfect for you. It is incredibly satisfying to pull the lever, with the extra control over every espresso being something that keeps you coming back.

Features and performance

The secret is something unique to lever machines like the Pro 800, which is true low-pressure pre-infusion that provides smoother, fuller, and sweeter espresso flavors. You can do this by pulling the lever to fill the brew group and apply about 1 to 1.5 bar from the boiler and lightly saturate the coffee. By gently lifting the lever, a spring-loaded piston is released that gradually builds pressure and then decreases as the lever is pulled back. This achieves a kind of pressure profiling that works perfectly to release the different flavors in a specialty coffee. For additional control, the Pro 800 has a Gicar PID controller artfully hidden behind the drip tray to preserve the machine's classic aesthetics. You will be able to adjust the brewing temperature as you wish and keep it there thanks to the stability that PID temperature control offers.

Because it is a spring-loaded piston that generates the high brewing pressure and not a pump, the Pro 800 will be completely silent during brewing. It is one of the quieter machines on the market, as the pump can only be heard when filling the boiler via the internal water tank. If the Pro 800 is directly connected, the water line pressure will fill the boiler instead of the pump, and thus the Pro 800 will be completely silent.
