The M2M R Black is a small but solid coffee grinder from Macap made of chromed metal. Micrometric adjustment of the grind size allows for precise grinding. The height-adjustable portafilter support is made of durable metal covered with rubber for efficient use and gentle handling of the portafilter. The power switch lever for starting the grinding also functions as a holder for the portafilter, which means you do not need to hold the portafilter while grinding. The coffee grinder is very easy to use – it grinds as long as the portafilter holds down the power switch. The Macap M2M R is easy to clean both externally and internally so that the coffee grinder always looks good and the ground coffee always smells and tastes great. The M2M R Black is equipped with an easily accessible power switch for simple on and off operation.

The M2M R Black has a relatively small bean hopper, with space for 250 g of espresso beans, which means you can grind coffee for about 25 espressos per filled coffee grinder. An advantage of a smaller bean hopper is that it takes up less space. The coffee grinder’s sleek and classic design combined with the black finish makes the M2M R Black fit into any kitchen.

The intake of espresso beans on the Macap M2M R is adjusted with a flat plate that can easily be pulled away from or towards the grinder. If you want to remove the bean hopper from the Macap M2M R but there are still espresso beans inside, you can press the flat plate so that it covers the entire opening and then twist the bean hopper upwards. This can be useful if you want to clean the grinder or suspect that a problem has occurred in the grinding mechanism. To clean the grinder, the bean hopper should be removed and a dose of Pulygrind should be poured into the grinding mechanism. Then place the bean hopper back in place. Grind the Pulygrind crystals together with coffee until no crystals come out of the grinder; usually a couple of portions are required.

The 50 mm diameter flat burrs grind coffee at 1 g/s. The advantage of flat burrs is primarily their long lifespan and short grinding times. The coffee grinder’s grind size can be continuously adjusted using a knob. If you want to adjust it, turn the knob little by little. If the M2M R Black coffee grinder is reasonably well set, usually only a small adjustment is needed. To check when the coffee grinder is correctly set, you can grind coffee for an espresso and then brew it. Experiment until the espresso brews at the right pace and time.
