Care instructions

For cleaning, the bean container should be removed and a dose of Pulygrind poured into the grinder mechanism. Then replace the bean container and grind out the crystals along with coffee until no more crystals come out of the grinder; usually a couple of doses are required. We recommend cleaning about once a month, but the interval depends on how much the grinder is used. It is also wise not to fill the entire bean container if you will not use the beans within a few days, as the aromas may otherwise deteriorate unnecessarily.

Usage and settings

The grind size is adjusted with a knob at the grinder’s neck. Turn clockwise for coarser grind and counterclockwise for finer grind, preferably in small steps at a time. An honest thing to keep in mind is that this grinder works best with users who actually want to adjust and experiment, rather than those who just want to press a button without fine-tuning the result. As a guideline for espresso, 25 milliliters in 25 seconds is indicated, but the final setting depends on the bean type and blend. Generally, you often want to grind finer when the arabica content is higher and slightly coarser when the robusta content increases.

The timer is set via the digital display on the front. By holding down the silver button above the display, you enter the settings mode, where you can adjust grind times and access statistics. When the grinder is set, the same button is used to switch between manual grinding, marked with an infinity symbol, and timed grinding with the “Push and grind” mode.
