The story behind Agro Hellen - 250g

Agro Hellen is a limited micro-lot from the Agro Hellen farms in León Cortés, Tarrazú, Costa Rica, cultivated by Hellen Mora.

With altitudes between 1,400 and 1,700 meters and a combination of fertile and well-drained soil, optimal conditions are created for flavorful and aromatic beans.

The coffee is made from the Caturra variety and is naturally processed, resulting in a sweet, fruity, and complex cup with tasting notes of brown sugar, grape, chocolate, mango, orange, cherry, and raisin. The body is full and complex with floral notes and a clean aftertaste.

Roasted with precision by Budhas Coffee Roastery in a Giesen W15, to an Agtron value of 70.7, which provides a perfect balance between sweetness, fruit, and freshness.

Coffee's process

1. Origin & Farm

The coffee is grown at Agro Hellen Farm by Hellen Mora in León Cortés, Tarrazú, one of Costa Rica's most esteemed coffee-growing regions.

2. Process

Natural process – the berries are slowly dried with the fruit intact on raised beds, which preserves and intensifies the natural sugars and fruity aromas in the beans.

3. Roasting & Brewing

Roasted by Budha in a Giesen W15, to a light to medium roast (Agtron 70.7). Perfect for electric brewers, hand filters, and pour over methods.
