ACME developed the Taster series to enhance the tasting experience itself. The deeper shape allows the grounds to settle at the bottom, so you primarily assess the liquid and aromas. This provides clearer separation in the cup, better focus in the flavor profile, and more controlled cupping. The thick-walled porcelain also helps maintain a stable temperature longer, while the stackable shape makes the series practical when many cups are used simultaneously.

How to do a cupping

1. Add coarsely ground coffee to the cup. Use about 8–9 g of coffee per 150 ml of water for a balanced cupping.

2. Pour hot water. The water should be about 92–96 °C to fairly bring out the aromas.

3. Let brew. Let the coffee steep for 4 minutes without stirring, so the crust can form properly.

4. Break the crust. Gently break the coffee crust with a spoon and take time to smell the aromas released.

5. Skim off. Remove floating grounds from the surface for a cleaner tasting.

6. Taste. Taste when the coffee has cooled slightly. The deep shape helps the grounds stay at the bottom.
