Maintenance
How to look after your Studio
A coffee brewer such as the Fellow Aiden or xBloom Studio does best when the basket and carafe are washed after every use and it is descaled as the manufacturer specifies. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the xBloom Studio
xBloom recommends descaling every three months or after 300 brews, whichever comes first. Start the programme via the app or by pressing the centre dial three times.
Use the supplied brush to sweep out the grinder outlet, the docking arm and the drip tray once a week.
If the grind setting is not right, the grinder can be calibrated via the app or by pressing the left dial three times. It takes about two minutes.

Water and filters
The right water protects your machine
The target is 2–4 °dH. Measure the hardness with a water test; soft, filtered water gives better flavour and means you need to descale less often.
Water tank
The Studio runs from a water tank. Use an in-tank filter and replace it every 2–3 months.
