Maintenance
How to look after your Bricks 01S
A single dose grinder with conical burrs, such as the Varia VS3 and VS4 or the Fellow Opus, should be blown out after every grind and correctly zeroed after cleaning. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the Timemore Bricks 01S
The Bricks 01S should only be cleaned dry. Brush the burrs and grinding chamber after use with the supplied brush.
The hopper and outer burr can be removed for more thorough dry cleaning. Blow out the chamber with the air blower.
The grinder comes with an RDT spray bottle. Lightly moistening the beans reduces static electricity and retained coffee.

Every day
- Blow out the grinding chamber with the bellows after every grind
- Brush out the spout and the dosing cup
- Weigh in and out to check retention
- Use RDT when there is static

Every week
- Grind cleaning pellets, for example Cafetto GC2
- Wash the dosing cup and lid by hand
- Wipe the grinder with a dry cloth

Every month
- Take apart and brush the burrs
- Brush the grinding chamber and the thread
- Find the zero point again

When needed
- Replace the burrs when the grind becomes uneven
- Calibrate after replacement
- Run in new burrs with cheaper beans
