Maintenance
How to look after your Pro M54
A flat burr grinder, such as the Eureka Mignon, Rocket Faustino or Macap M42, needs daily brushing, regular cleaning pellets and new burrs after the number of kilos specified by the manufacturer. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the Profitec Pro M54
Unlock the adjustment ring and turn clockwise for a finer grind and anticlockwise for a coarser grind while the grinder is running.
Profitec states that the burrs normally need replacing after about 250 kg of ground coffee.
Always unplug the grinder before cleaning the bean hopper, spout and burrs with a damp cloth and brush.
-
Every day

- Check the dose with a scale after changing the grind
-
Every week

- Empty the bean hopper and wash it by hand
- Brush away coffee around the adjustment dial
-
Every month
- Open the grinder and brush the burrs
- Brush the grinding chamber and the adjustment thread
- Check the zero point
-
After 250–500 kg
- Replace the burrs according to the manufacturer's kg figure
