How to look after your Ode Gen 2
A single dose grinder with flat burrs, such as the Eureka Mignon Zero, Timemore Sculptor or Fellow Ode, should be blown out after every grind and kept free of static to keep retention low. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the Fellow Ode Gen 2
Fellow recommends running the grinder to clear any remaining beans before changing the grind setting.
Tap the metal knocker after grinding to loosen coffee stuck in the outlet.
If the grinder is used infrequently, grind 7 g of beans and discard them before grinding for your brew.

Every day
- Blow out the grinding chamber with the bellows after every grind
- Brush out the spout and the outlet
- Weigh in and out to check retention
- Use RDT when there is static

Every week
- Grind cleaning pellets, for example Cafetto GC2
- Wash the dosing cup and lid by hand
- Wipe the grinder with a dry cloth

Every month
- Open the grinder and brush the burrs
- Brush the grinding chamber and the adjustment thread
- Check the zero point

After 300–500 kg
- Replace the burrs according to the manufacturer's kg figure
- Calibrate the zero point after replacement
- Run in new burrs with cheaper beans
