How to look after your Mignon Manuale
A flat burr grinder, such as the Eureka Mignon, Rocket Faustino or Macap M42, needs daily brushing, regular cleaning pellets and new burrs after the number of kilos specified by the manufacturer. Here is the schedule and the products we recommend.
Good to know about the Eureka Mignon Manuale
Turn the dial clockwise for a finer grind and anticlockwise for a coarser grind, in small steps and with a little ground coffee between adjustments. Eureka warns that the grinder can jam if the dial is turned with the motor stopped.
Wash the bean hopper with water and mild washing-up liquid to remove the oils from the beans. Brush the burrs and grinding chamber clean with a dry brush or cloth.
Eureka states that the burrs should be checked and replaced if necessary after 250 kg of coffee. Grind no more than 160 g per start.
