Care Instructions
Daily cleaning is simple: rinse the brewer after use, as the plunger helps clean the chamber during brewing. The product is dishwasher safe, but only in the top rack. We also recommend occasionally removing the seal at the end of the plunger and cleaning it inside and out with warm water and dish soap.
One important thing to keep in mind is that the XL model should not be pressed directly into glass mugs or glass carafes. AeroPress also clearly advises against the inverted brewing method for this model, as it is less stable and can tip over.
Usage
Heat water to about 85°C. Attach a paper filter to the filter cap, add 32–36 grams of medium-fine ground coffee, and fill with water up to mark #8 for larger brewing, or #4 for one cup. Stir gently for 5 seconds, insert the plunger slightly to create a vacuum, and wait 30 seconds before pressing calmly and evenly. This is a hand brewing coffee maker that is fast but still rewards precision.
