V60 - Designed to give you the perfect cup of coffee
The shape of the filter and the internal ribs directly affect the taste of the coffee and are therefore extremely important. In developing these shapes in glass, we were faced with many challenges that required innovation. Fortunately, HARIO started as a company specializing in heat-resistant glass, so we used our century-old expertise and after a lot of work to improve the production process, the V60 heat-resistant glass was finally released in 2009.

Conformal design for optimal flavor extraction
The V60's characteristic cone-shaped design allows the layers of coffee grounds to be thicker than on a traditional trapezoidal coffee dripper. The cone shape allows hot water to flow toward the center, allowing for longer contact with the coffee grounds and ensuring proper extraction of flavor and aromas from the coffee grounds.
Spiral ribs for even extraction
When the coffee is saturated, the high ribs do not prevent its expansion, and an air layer forms between the filter and the dripper. The spiral ribs prevent the filter from sticking to the dripper, allowing air to flow through and allowing the coffee to expand adequately. This promotes an even extraction of the good flavors of the coffee.
Single hole design for customizable taste
The V60 has a large opening at the bottom, unlike several smaller holes in traditional trapezoidal coffee drippers. This allows the tip of the filter to protrude through the hole, which in turn allows the hot water to extract the coffee in a similar way to a cloth filter, as it is not restricted by the dripper. By changing the pouring speed, you can brew coffee with your desired flavor strength, stronger or milder.
