Rocket R Cinquantotto is an update of the previously popular Rocket R58. Rocket R Cinquantotto has dual heating elements controlled by PID control via an external touchscreen. Since the two heating elements are regulated by separate PID controls, you can choose different temperatures for the two boilers and truly extract the best from the beans by adapting to different roasting profiles. The espresso machine has updated controls for the drip tray, legs, side panels, and now includes a brew timer displayed on the detachable touchscreen, which are appreciated improvements to Rocket's signature dual boiler espresso machine.

Features and Performance

Instead of integrating the PID control on the front of the machine, Rocket has chosen to integrate all functions into a single touch screen. The touch screen is detachable, and the espresso machine can be used without the touch screen. The function of the touch screen is not only the setting of the PID but also includes several other functions such as turning off the boiler to the steam wand, creating on/off timers so that the machine is warm and ready for brewing in the morning (it is possible to set multiple times), activating ECO mode for lower electricity consumption, and being able to choose direct connection to a water source or an internal fresh water tank. There is also a discreet brew timer above the power button that is also displayed on the touch screen. The brew timer is activated as soon as the brewing starts.  

In Rocket R Cinquantotto's core, there is a 0.58-liter brew boiler and a 1.8-liter steam boiler that will be able to deliver espresso after espresso while being able to deliver café-quality steam frothing at any time with its separate steam boiler. The steam wand has Rocket's patented “No-Burn” steam wand that ensures you won't burn yourself. Rocket R Cinquantotto is an espresso machine without any compromises.

Like other Rocket espresso machines, the R Cinquantotto has an E61 group with Rocket's “Dual” pre-infusion system which has a static chamber and a mechanism with pressure spring and piston that together ensure that the coffee puck is fully saturated before the full 9 bars of brewing pressure comes, thus providing an even and stable brewing. Together with Rocket's well-thought-out E61 group, the PID control ensures that the machine maintains a stable temperature throughout the brewing process. Not only does the R Cinquantotto have dual boilers with PID with Rocket's own developed E61 group, the Cinquantotto has a commercial rotary pump which is extremely quiet while giving you the option to connect directly to a water source.
