The story behind La Cristalina Colombia - 250g

La Cristalina Colombia is an elegant and fruity coffee from the Caldas region in Colombia, grown on Finca La Cristalina by Luis José Valdés.

The coffee is of the Red Bourbon variety and is grown at an altitude between 1,250 and 1,650 meters, on fields where organic fertilization is used to promote both flavor and sustainability.

The coffee is naturally processed, which gives it a rich sweetness and notes of orange, plum, raisin, strawberry, and chocolate – rounded off with a touch of brown sugar. The combination of low acidity and clear mouthfeel makes this coffee an all-around favorite for all types of pour-over brewing.

1. Origin & Farm

The coffee is grown at Finca La Cristalina in Caldas, Colombia, a farm known for its focus on quality, sustainability, and flavor. Here, organic fertilizers are used to promote the health of the soil and the plants naturally.

2. Process

The natural process means that the beans are allowed to dry slowly with the fruit flesh intact, which gives the coffee a natural sweetness and complexity in the cup.

3. Roasting & Brewing
